Parabellum, owned by the Phuket sailor Dan Fidock, showcased an extraordinary performance by securing the first position in its class. This remarkable catamaran, known for its agility and speed, particularly in longer courses, has added another trophy to its illustrious history under Fidock’s leadership. The team’s remarkable synergy, led by former Olympic helmsman Roland Gabler, proved to be a decisive factor in their victory.
Following closely, Twin Sharks, owned by the renowned British sailor John Newnham, secured the second position in the same class. Twin Sharks, a locally designed and built Firefly, demonstrated its strength in the initial heavy weather conditions and has continued to uphold its reputation as a fierce competitor in the King’s Cup.
Royal Honour at Award Ceremony
Adding to the splendor of the event, the sailors had the distinct honor of receiving their awards from Her Majesty Queen Suthida Bajrasudhabimalalakshana, representing His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua.
