For one night this November, the Kata Rocks Sunset Bar leaves the cliffs of Kata Bay and heads north to Boat Avenue. On Wednesday 18 November, our Food & Beverage Manager Michael Moyano steps behind the bar at Mrs B for a guest shift, bringing a short menu of Kata Rocks signatures, a live DJ and a little of our clifftop spirit to one of Phuket’s liveliest dining rooms.
An evening at Mrs B
Tucked into Boat Avenue in Cherngtalay, Mrs B is a wood fire dining room and social hub built around open flames, global flavours and craft cocktails. Guests sit with a front row view of the kitchen while the bar keeps a confident, metropolitan rhythm. It is the kind of place where dinner easily turns into a long evening, which makes it a natural home for our sunset rituals.
Behind the bar
Michael Moyano leads Food & Beverage at Kata Rocks, Phuket’s most awarded luxury resort, where he shapes everything from sunset mixology to private dining on the signature rocks of Kata Bay. With more than 14 years in hospitality across the Philippines and Thailand, he brings a quiet precision and a genuine love of the craft to every glass.
For the guest shift, Michael will be pouring the drinks our guests ask for by name, made with the house syrups we prepare at Kata Rocks.
The menu
Expect a short, considered list of Kata Rocks signature cocktails, priced at THB 350 each. Each drink is made in limited numbers on the night, so early arrivals will have the full menu to choose from.
A live DJ will set the mood from early evening, carrying the easy, golden-hour feel of the Sunset Bar well into the night.
