We’re excited to announce that Kata Rocks’ Gin has once again come home a winner, taking Silver honours at the recent 2017 Melbourne International Spirits Competition. The luxury resort’s award-winning spirit continues to impress at regional and international competitions worldwide.

This latest award follows a double gold medal at this year’s China Wine & Spirits Awards 2017, the biggest drinks competition in China and Hong Kong.

Kata Rocks’ Gin (aka ‘Spirit of Kata Rocks’) is an ultra-small batch gin that pays homage to its home region with a slew of vibrant flavours. The gin is available at Kata Rocks’ Oceanfront Restaurant and Bar along with its series of world renown gin-based cocktails including the ‘Kata Rocks Negroni’, ‘Kata Rocks Gin & Tonic’ and the ‘Kata Rocks Secret Garden’.

These fantastic hand-crafted drinks are best enjoyed at the resort’s Oceanfront Bar, served at sunset by one of its friendly bartenders, together with Kata Rocks’ nightly offering of complimentary gourmet tapas and live music.

The Melbourne International Spirits Competition is now in its fourth year with nearly 200 spirits submitted from eight countries around the world. It is the first major international spirits competition in Asia Pacific with trade-only professional judges who are active buyers from top retail stores, restaurant and bar owners, distributors and importers.
