Kata Rocks Collective Series ‘La Barcelonata’ Mediterranean Brunch

For the fifth outing of our now famous, Kata Rocks Collective Series, our Executive Chef, Laia Pons will transport diners to ‘La Barceloneta’ on 24 October during an exclusive one time only brunch event. It will showcase dishes from one of the oldest and most renowned fishing neighbourhoods in Ciutat Vella district of Barcelona and where she finds inspiration for much of her cuisine.

Alongside Kata Rocks’ stunning oceanfront location, La Barceloneta Brunch will immerse guests into a true Mediterranean dining experience showcasing delicious fresh seafood and the very best of rustic Spanish cuisine in the menu.

Supported by La Quintinye Vermouth Royal and in conjunction with the launch of our all-new Vermouth Spritz bar menu at Kata Rocks; A refreshing selection of authentic Spanish Spritzer’s will be on unlimited free flow all afternoon to further help soak up a true Mediterranean brunch experience.

The dining extravaganza begins with house marinated olives, Iberian ham with tomato bread, patatas bravas, tomato spicy sauce and all-i-oli

Starters to share on the table include focaccia & baguette bread; Fine de Claire oysters, lemon, shallot and vinegar sauce; Shrimp salad, tomatoes and avocado, lemon all-i-oli; Steamed mussels with celery and vermouth sauce Barramundi ceviche with passion fruit, lime coriander dressing; Calamari fritura, tarta sauce; Surtido, imported cold cuts and cheese selection; Spanish omelette, potatoes and onions; Huevos con chorizo, potatoes, cherry tomatoes, eggs with chorizo; Escalivada, roasted peppers and eggplant, Kalamata olives with persillade dressing and Salmorejo, chilled tomato soup, bread croutons, Iberian ham, egg & extra virgin olive oil.

Those who still are hungry can then feast on a choice of either Beef tenderloin Rossini, roasted rosemary potatoes and red wine sauce or Caldereta, stew lobster, calamari, clams and seafood sauce. This is topped off by an outstanding selection of desserts, coffee or tea. Buen provecho!

La Barcelonata Mediterranean Brunch on Saturday 24 October is from 12noon to 3pm for 3,000++ baht (food and free flow of drinks) per person.
