Premium Outlet Phuket

Premium Outlet Phuket

On its website Phuket Premium outlet likes to promote itself as a one-of-a-kind shopping experience, ‘a quaint street similar to French village’ built in order to make it southern Thailand’s top shopping experience.

It claims there are more than 300 leading brand-name fashion brands from around the world there offering 80% discounts on goods.

It was the first modern and largest shopping mall built in Tambon Thalang on the Bypass Road (Chalemprakiat Road) near the junction with Thepkrassatri Road. The main area is full of clothes and accessory shops selling ‘genuine’ designer goods that are either out of season or have minor flaws.

The merchandise is still considered to be of good quality by some and is sold at significant discount, with over 300 retail outlets within the complex and has over 500 parking spaces. Premium Outlet Phuket isn’t all about bargain clothes though, it also has leather goods, house ware, home furnishings, gifts and toys as well as computer equipment and audio visual items.

If it sounds too good to be true only an actual visit there can confirm (or deny) comments found on the Internet.

User generated content and comments about Premium Outlet Phuket are consistently poor, with scathing reviews on TripAdvisor and other social media platforms. To some it is a like a ghost town, ‘a complete waste of time’ where most stores sell fake items. Users state a very low level of trust that any of the stores are real factory outlets for the brands or products they are said to represent.

Since it is basically located in the middle of no where on the way to Phuket International Airport, round trip transportation easily makes any purchase a lost leader given the high costs of getting around Phuket.
