Naiharn is pleasantly quite courtesy of the Wat Samnak Song Temple which occupies most of the land off the centre and southern stretch of the beach and keeps development in check. Fronting the temple is a man-made lake that is popular for morning runs or evening bike rides, with a lovely wooded park on an island in the middle of the lake.
Nai Harn isn’t far behind Kata Beach when it comes to the best waves in the southern Phuket, where the southern end of the beach has a long sandbank that delivers short fast rides.
Beach restaurants, sun loungers and umbrellas were removed in 2014 so while more natural there is little respite from the sun. This makes it a favorite spot for visting sunbakers and local residents alike.
