Charity Csr Katarocks Hotel Phuket

Kata Rocks is delighted to support the ‘Phuket Has Been Good To Us Foundation’ (PHBGTU) and its highly successful ‘Pop Up at Bliss’ charity event as part of Kata Rocks’ corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme. On Saturday 7 May 2016 Kata Rocks’ executive Chef Laia Pons and her culinary team along with other top Phuket establishments will thrill Phuket gourmet connoisseurs at Bliss Beach Club. Overall, more than 35 hotel employees, colleagues and their families will generously donate their time to the beloved children of Phuket, under the auspices of the PHBGTU. Fans and guests are invited to join this truly beautiful and rare culinary experience for a great cause from 7:00 pm.

After the huge success of last year’s ‘Pop Up at Bliss’, PHBGTU is proud to announce that the event will return on Saturday 7 May at Bliss Beach Club. Eleven of the island’s hottest culinary establishments will be collaborating together in support of the Phuket Has Been Good to Us Foundation. There will also be entertainment with live music, and of course, and a lot of dancing. Picture it if you will, 11 award-winning chefs all in one location for this one special night only, collaborating in the name of charity.

Phuket Has Been Good To Us Foundation teaches English to over 1,000 children in three Royal Thai Government schools around the province; employing qualified, fluent English-speaking teachers to provide the best possible English language education.  It also runs an extracurricular programme, Coconut Club, for 130 children who are orphans or whose families are not able to look after them. Each day after school and on Saturdays the children come to the club to join in sports, arts and crafts courses. The aim of the organisation is to help Thai youth become capable and confident English speakers so they can secure well paid employment in Phuket’s tourism industry.

So please head to ‘Pop Up at Bliss’ on 7 May to experience this interactive dining experience from Kata Rocks while supporting this very worthy local foundation dedicated to empowering Thai children and students. Entry is by donation of THB 2,500 (US$ 71). Advanced booking is required, to secure your ticket call 076 278 146 or email info@phukethasbeengoodtous.org
