Kata Rocks has appointed the celebrity interior designer, Kelly Hoppen to do the interior design and furniture packages.  Kelly has designed the homes of the rich and famous over the past 30 years starting with actor Martin Shaw when she was only 17 and including David and Victoria Beckham, Elton John, Jude Law and many more.  With this appointment, Kelly now gets to add adventurer and TV personality, Bear Grylls to her very impressive client list as he is buying a Club Penthouse at Kata Rocks.

East Meets West

Based in Notting Hill in London, Kelly Hoppen (www.kellyhoppenretail.com) has won nearly every award for interior design and earlier this year she was awarded the MBE by the Queen for services to the interior design industry.  Kelly has written many books on interior design and has become famous for her style of “East meets West”.  Kelly has stayed at the Amanpuri Hotel in Phuket for 12 years in a row and the Thai style of interiors has had a big influence on her style of interior design, so much so that one of her books is called “East Meets West: Global Design for Contemporary Interiors”.

At Kata Rocks, Kelly will be designing 4 different furniture packages and will work with the award winning architects, Original Vision, on all aspects regarding the interior designs of the Sky Villas.  She will also design the interiors of the luxury spa, gym, sunset bar, bistro, reading lounge and function room along with the reception building.  Kelly already sources many of her furniture designs in Thailand and Asia and she will work closely with Kata Rocks and architects, Original Vision, to find the best materials in the region.
