Concept and Design

Kata Rocks has been conceived as the ultimate in Thailand villa and apartment living. Utilising the natural topography and rock features, our overwhelming objective has been to create a resort that is sympathetic and in harmony with the site yet an outstanding example of tropical design with a fantastic feeling of space and an unequalled level of amenity.

We are creating a development that will appeal to people who would like the privacy and intimate feel of a villa in Thailand with its own private swimming pool but would rather not have the maintenance hassles that come with owning a villa. Our development will attract those who sometimes want the social benefits of being in an apartment development such as a Clubhouse with all the communal facilities but at other times they want the privacy of their own piece of paradise.

We are calling our apartments, Sky Villas because they are a cross between a villa and an apartment. They are much larger than most apartments, all having their own swimming pools (a first in Phuket) and there is a maximum of three units in each block giving a very intimate feel. They range from 1 to 4 bedrooms and have been designed by Original Vision who won the Best Architect in Thailand award in 2006. We have 4 types of Sky Villa and are building only 34 in total. They are the Club Penthouses at 460 sq m, the Sky Duplex at 324 sq m, the Pool Condo at 191 sq m and the Ocean Loft at 134 sq m.

All are designed with fantastic terraces and pools facing the Ocean. The ability to open the generous indoor space to these terraces provides an opportunity to exploit the most valuable attribute of the site, the breathtaking view of the Andaman Sea and Ko Phu Island.

All are designed to the highest specifications and will be built with the utmost attention to detail to ensure the very highest quality. We are using the best materials including a very high standard of kitchens and bathrooms and the latest smart home technology. All will have their own private infinity swimming pools incorporating Jacuzzi jets. Many also have separate Jacuzzis as well on the private balconies off the master bedrooms. The Club Penthouses have two master bedrooms each with a private outside Jacuzzis in addition to a large pool, dining sala and outside BBQ kitchen.

Our intention is for Kata Rocks to be an icon of design and quality, and a benchmark for a luxurious lifestyle in Phuket.
